Artist Statement

I am a mother, an animal lover, a bird watcher, a cloud reveler, a sculptor, a painter, and a potter. I have always been in awe of nature. I remember hiding in a tree as a young child and trying to be still enough for the birds to forget I was there. This began a lifelong journey to observe those fleeting moments and capture them in my art. I am fortunate to live in the Pacific Northwest, where there is endless inspiration. Each time I see a little flick of a tail or a perfect cloud, I feel the tug of my clay or canvas.
